Eating Light Vs. Eating Right

Confession, I eat Greek yogurt with a banana just about every night for dinner.  It's light, fast, non-fat and low on sugar, buuut not too full of vitamins.  Do you ever notice that you're eating good food but not balancing it right?  I had been getting about nine hours of sleep every night and still felt sluggish so I decided to reform my diet.  More veggie snacks, bigger balanced lunches, and sadly a little less cheese.  What are your indulgences and do you ever notice that eating light isn't always eating right?

  1. I love eating whole mangos as a breakfast. It's light, it's a lot, but it's packed with a lot of sugar! Yes it's natural sugar but it somehow makes me even more hungry?!?! I had to revamp this habit into a more substantial breakfast!

  2. I've been snacking on dried apricots day & night &, unfortunately, it's too much sugar :-(

    1. I'm guilty of that! I know I can't have dried apricots anywhere near my desk or I will eat them all!

  3. I don't always realize when I'm hungry (or confuse that with feeling stressed or upset), so I'm always very careful to plan meals in advance and think carefully about what I'm eating–although you will occasionally find me eating chips and guacamole for dinner!

    1. Smart lady! I'm good at planning my snacks at work but have a harder time when I get home from the gym at night...that's where the quick and light comes in.
