Flea Market Finds

I think someone must have been reading my blog post last week because I came across this mid century gold rimmed bar set at the Long Beach flea market on Sunday.  I am obsessed with the clean, simple stripes and the textured bases.  For $25, how can you go wrong?  I'll admit that I was not thrilled about getting up early on a Sunday morning to hit the flea market but a coffee the size of my face and finding this set completely changed my mood.  I think that slowly but surely my bar is coming together. 

Collecting can be so rewarding but sometimes I have the hardest time waiting for the perfect find.  So I just had to reward my patience with with a batch of skinny mojitos! Has anyone else found a fun flea market find lately? 

Gold Bar Accessories

As you know I've been working on creating a cozy home bar and I just love these gold accents!  I fell in love with this shaker last December and found it's still around if you hunt for it.  The ice bucket feels so Mid Century but is actually on sale at Home Depot of all places for less than $30.  And I just can't get over that bottle opener so simple and beautiful!  Do you have a theme for your bar?  Links to all these goodies are here, I can't wait to add some of these to my little bar.  

Excited for Eames

My life has been so busy the last few days, I can not wait for the weekend and I have the feeling Mac and I may be watching this for a Saturday night date.  I admit that before I met Mac I was only slightly familiar with Eames and now a few years later I am nerding out excited to see this movie.  It is amazing to see the legacy that they created.  Anyone else gonna check it out?

Mid Century Inspired Art

Safe to say Mac and I both love the look of abstract art.  Today I came across these amazing prints from Jenn Ski.  I love the lines, simplicity, and the different textures that are created,especially loving the wood grain.  These seem so period perfect, they remind me so much of the old Disneyland ads and concept art.  Best of all, the prints are so reasonably priced!  Check them out, I may be getting a few myself.
