Weekend Cocktail: Blood Orange And Thyme Paloma

Darlings, it may only be Thursday but let's be honest...who's not looking forward to some weekend cocktails?  This one from The Life Styled is on my list.  Not only does it sound fantastic but the photos are gorgeous and my fresh lemon thyme plant is coming in beautifully.  Win, win, win! 2 oz silver tequila
4 oz all natural blood orange soda (I used Whole Foods brand)
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
leaves of 3 sprigs of fresh thyme, roughly chopped
thyme sprig for garnish
1 blood orange (slices for garnish)
sea salt

A Little Monday Motivation

Darlings, I thought we could use a little motivation this Monday morning.  No matter how much we love our jobs sometimes Monday's are just rough.  So remember how fabulous you are and the end goals your working for.  Whether it's money to pay the bills, a trip to Europe, or working on your own project after hours you are amazing, beautiful, and fierce.  Ok Monday, bring it on!

Food Porn Friday

This raspberry cake from Sugar and Cloth looks perfect for the end of a long week!  (And how cute is that plate?)  And this week has been long. Darlings, last week I threw my back out...apparently I'm 60. I had no idea how much it stops you in your tracks. This week I have been able to go back on my feet but I still can't lift things, bake, or even walk fast. Who knew you could miss doing laundry?

Beautiful Spring Days

Darlings, I just can't get over how beautiful spring is here on the central coast of California.  I snapped this shot while viewing my friend's wedding venue.  Can you believe this is going to be the backdrop of their wedding in September?  Our minds were just flooded with ideas for projects and details we had seen for her wedding, but once we saw this we realized that mother nature was providing the best backdrop we could imagine.  What would you prefer an indoor or outdoor wedding?

New Beginnings

Hello Darlings!  It's been a crazy start to a new year but Mac and I have found our new home and are starting to settle in.  Now it's time to celebrate all the small joys that come with new beginnings and enjoy today!  What's making you smile today?

Happy Friday!  Doesn't this pumpkin pecan cream cheese roll look fantastic! I know it's a classic but on an autumn morning this would hit the spot.  

Anyone have weekend plans?  Make and I are having a mini-break in Santa Barbara this weekend.  Until he moves up here Santa Barbra is half way between our two homes.  We're trying to see each other ever two weeks during our temporary long distance relationship.  Here's to a weekend of bike rides on the beach, french food, and wine!  Have a lovely weekend darlings!

Pumpkin Oatmeal Muffins

My niece and I love having girl's night sleepovers and we always have some kind of baking project.  The last time I gave her the option of making oatmeal cookies or pumpkin muffins in the morning. Then we thought, pumpkin oatmeal muffins...done! 

These babies turned out so moist and full of autumn joy with just the nostalgic touch of oatmeal.  If you're looking for a new treat give them a try, they'd be perfect for Thanksgiving guests!

Autumn Love

Everything about this picture makes me happy.  Now that I've gotten set up on the central coast I'm able to set back into the fall grove.  Apple picking, autumn leaves, and pumpkin everything!  What are your favorite things about November?  I love knowing that Christmas is on it's way, the family is about to gather for Thanksgiving, and that I still have a month of pumpkin joy!

Happy Friday!  Who wants to celebrate with some pumpkin creme brulee, doesn't this look divine?  

I am so excited, today is my first day at my new job!  While I've been busy unpacking my boxes I am already so happy with my move. I can not wait to sink my teeth in today and meet the new office.   I know this weekend will be full of more unpacking, a little champagne, and a run on the beach.  What will you lovelies be up to?
