We can't talk about great jazz without talking about Wes Montgomery. The leader in jazz guitar Wes Montgomery is probably Mac's favorite jazz musician. Beboppers listening to Coltrane and Davis at the time weren't expecting anyone to come on the scene and play guitar the way Montgomery was able to.
