Happy Friday!

How beyond brilliant, and cute, is this idea!

What a week!  I'm always surprised at how I use my free time and this has been what I've been up to this week:

-Reading Hunger Games until my eyes hurt
-Drinking beer with lunch, because I can
-At the gym until I can't walk, no seriously I've been walking like John Wayne all week
-Coffee with friends
-Cleaning out my  closet (that one surprised me)
-Taking the time to blow out my hair
-Pinterest,that's a given
-Making pillows
-Talking to Mac's cat
-Organizing paint chips in to wall art
-Eating mint chip ice cream out of the carton, cuz I'm a grown up

I have wondered what I  would do we a free week and believe me, cleaning out my closet and paint chip art were not what I imagined, but there is a sense of satisfaction.  What do you do with your free time? I plan on making these fruit skewers this weekend and sipping champagne with a good book!

Happy weekend loves!

Paris, In The Rain

Could this picture provide a more perfect escape?  Looking out the window at the grey California day I can just see myself in this picture.  If any one needs me I'll be in Paris, in the rain, with my love and a red umbrella.

Motorcycle Man

Sometimes I wish I was the kind of girl that would hop on Mac's bike with him, my arms arms wrapped around his waist as we drove along the coast.  But no, I have some how convinced myself that riding behind him equals death (I know totally logical right).  I guess you could say I'm more of a side car kind of girl.

Here's my dilemma, as I watch him working to convert his Honda CB360 into a Cafe Racer I get more and more excited about it and I want to ride.  I work up the guts to go out on the motorcycle with him...and then freak out.  So Mac has purchased an old mini bike that is essentially powered by a lawn mower engine for me to try out.  If anyone needs me I'll be cruising up and down the streets of Huntington beach on a little yellow put put!

Happy Bubbly Friday!

Happy Friday!  Time to kick up your heels, grab a bottle of bubbly and celebrate...just because.  I can't wait to sit in the sun and sip champagne with my momma.  Have a wonderful weekend darlings!

Beautiful, Gorgous...Wish You Were Here!

Tonight Mac and I are headed up to my parents for the weekend.  I grew up in the most beautiful place and just have to go back and visit every few months.  These are just a few of the pictures I took last time I was up there and I know this trip the hills will be green and full of flowers.  Beautiful. Gorgeous. Wish you were here!

Where I'm go running on Saturday mornings

Whiskey Stones

I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm a whiskey fan and these just look too cool!

I have been thinking of getting whiskey stones for some time now.  Just me or does anyone hate sipping a drink and having that little bit of watered down yuck at the end? Enter whiskey stones...small, cold, and ruggedly manly how can we go wrong?  Anyone ever used whiskey stones before?  How fun would these be for happy hour or a cocktail party!

Happy Yummy Friday!

Anyone have fun Friday night plans?  My niece Alica, 10 years old, is coming for a sleep over and we are both so excited!

Alicia has been my little baking apprentice for a few years now for family birthdays, parties, holidays...so baking is always required at our sleepovers.  This time I thought we could give it a little twist to the savory side and make this so, so yummy looking calzone.  I think she had hoped to bake something sweet, but when I mentioned mini ice cream cones (thank you Trader Joe's) for dessert the caloze now seems to be looking like a great baking project.

So wish us luck with our project.  It will be a night filled with gooey cheese, red nail polish, sparkling juice out of champagne coups, and I'm thinking An American in Paris!
